After Liposuction What’s Next?

After facial liposuction the fatty cell will not return to the treated area because the body, after puberty will not produce any new fat cells, the weight gain that occurs after the fact comes from expanding the fat cells that we already have, therefore in most cases only one session of a facial liposuction in necessary.

Recovery

One or two small stitches may be required to close the tiny holes from where the cannulas were placed. You will also be required to wear and elastic dressing over the treated area for a few day and be required to wear the elastic dressing for a couple of weeks at bed time.

Pain Relief

A mild pain reliever like Tylenol is all that will be needed along with a cold pack to reduce the swelling to the treated area. Most patients are able to return to normal activates within two to four days after facial liposuction.
