In this study, GOIC film and collagen film (CF) are used as dressing material on the wound of streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. A significant increase in ROS (p < 0.05) was observed in the fibroblast of GOIC group during the inflammation period compared to the CF and control groups. This elevated level up regulated the antioxidant status in the granulation tissue and improved cellular proliferation in the GOIC group.

2, Feb 2012We report an Indian child with ISH in whom we identified a homozygous acceptor splice site mutation, IVS2–4G> A. In silico analysis of this sequence showed that it changed predicted cryptic splicing, leading to outâ€ofâ€frame transcripts and little, if any, functional protein. Mutations in the ANTXR2 gene can also cause juvenile hyaline fibromatosis (JHF)

Conclusions: Our data show that VEGF-Rs KDR and FLT4 are silenced by DNA methylation. However, if the promoters are unmethylated, other factors (e.g. transactivation factors) determine the extent of KDR and FLT4 expression.
