Over the last two decades, there has been an increasing awareness regarding the potential impact of indoor air pollution on human health.

Multiwalled carbon nanotube‐modified polyacrylamide gels have been employed for the electrophoretic separation of proteins.

HIGH INTENSITY AND PREVALENCE OF TWO SPECIES OF TREMATODE METACERCARIAE IN THE FATHEAD MINNOW (PIMEPHALES PROMELAS) WITH NO COMPROMISE OF MINNOW ANTI-PREDATOR COMPETENCE. J Parasitol. 2012 Apr 3; Authors: Wisenden B, Martinez-Marquez JY, Gracia ES, McEwen DC Abstract Abstract Opportunity for parasites to manipulate host behavioral phenotype may be influenced by several factors, including the host ecology and the presence of cohabiting parasites in the same host

Authors: Pastorelli G, Trafela T, Taday PF, Portieri A, Lowe D, Fukunaga K, Strlič M Abstract Terahertz (THz) time-domain spectroscopy and 3D THz pulsed imaging have been explored with regard to polymer materials, both commodity and historic polymers.

In this study, we decellularized human adipose tissue, fabricated a thin ECM sheet and explored the potential of this human adipose-derived ECM sheet as a substrate to support the formation of tissues other than adipose tissue. Acellular ECM sheets were fabricated from human adipose tissue through successive physical and chemical treatments: homogenization, centrifugation, casting, freeze-drying and sodium dodecyl sulfate treatment.

We present a unique dermal tumor for which we propose the term plexiform melanocytic schwanomma. The proliferation consisted of lobules of epithelioid and spindled cells with S100, Melan‐A and HMB‐45 positivity but without obvious melanin pigmentation

The title compound, C37H67NO13·2C2H6OS·1.43H2O, is a macrolide antibiotic with better solubility and better dermal penetration abilities than erythromycin A itself. The asymmetric unit of this form contains one erythromycin A molecule, two dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solvent molecules, a fully occupied water molecule and a partially occupied water molecule with an occupancy factor of 0.432 (11).

AbstractOf the many processes that affect the outcome of wound repair, epidermal–dermal interactions are essential to extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling and in particular, soluble factors released by keratinocytes are known to have a direct impact on the production of ECM by dermal fibroblasts.

We report a case involving a misleading cutaneous presentation on the sole of the foot. PATIENTS AND METHODS: A 55-year-old woman presented discrete coalescent papules on her left foot, having an anhidrotic appearance, for which a number of antifungal treatments had been given without success. The skin biopsy revealed CD4+ T lymphocytic dermal infiltrate, mainly near the sweat glands, with syringotropism

In this study, we developed a new method for the suspension cultures of anchorage-dependent animal cells using polymer nanofibers. Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) nanofibers (785 nm in average fiber-diameter, 88 μm in average fiber-length) fabricated by the electrospinning method were added to each suspension culture of human embryonic kidney 293 cells and human dermal fibroblasts. As compared to no addition of nanofibers to the suspension cultures, nanofibers enhanced cell spheroid formation, thereby reducing cell death resulting from a lack of cell adhesion.
